As a co-owner of a trades business, I've experienced the challenges of running a construction company firsthand—not just from behind a desk, but from the jobsite.

That's why I started My Bookkeeping Studio. I wanted to help contractors stop guessing where their money is going and start understanding what's really driving their business. Before I ever sat behind a desk, I spent more than ten years in construction—managing projects, supervising crews, bidding jobs, and working on job sites.

I’ve seen a company stay busy, keep crews working, and still lose money on the job. I know the pressure of trying to keep everything moving while wondering whether the numbers will work out—because I’ve lived it.

I studied Business and Psychology at Hardin-Simmons University, and both shape how I work today. The numbers can show me what’s happening, but listening to the contractor often reveals the problem they’ve been feeling but haven’t been able to put into words.

That experience is what brought me to My Bookkeeping Studio. I don’t look at your business as someone standing outside the trades. I understand the jobs, the crews, the decisions, and the pressure behind the numbers.
